Who is responsible
The controller of personal data collected through venturecapitalstudio.com is Venture Capital Studio Limited, 8/F, China Hong Kong Tower, 8–12 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, a private company limited by shares incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622), company No. 79235951. What we collect and why
Contact and enquiries: name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message, when you write to us, use our contact form (WPForms, stored on our website) or message us through WhatsApp (via WhatsForm) — to answer you and, if you become a client or investor, to manage the relationship.
Clients and investors: identification and due diligence information required before an engagement or an investment.
Newsletter: your email address and the topics you choose, if you subscribe; you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in each email.
Statistics: with your consent where required, Google Analytics measures how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device), with cookies.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, processed by our hosting and security providers to deliver the site and protect it against attacks.
Service providers
We use providers who process data on our behalf, in particular our website hosting provider (GoDaddy), Cloudflare (network and security), Google (Google Analytics), Brevo (newsletter) and WhatsForm (WhatsApp messages). These providers may process data outside Hong Kong, including in the United States and the European Union. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a relationship are kept for up to five years. Client and investor records are kept for five years after the end of the relationship, or longer where the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) and, where they apply to you, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection or the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you may ask for access to and correction of your data, and, where applicable, its deletion or a restriction of its use. Write to insight@venturecapitalstudio.com. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority.
